The National Board of Examiners in Optometry (NBEO®) celebrates the close of 2025 and extends appreciation to candidates, state boards of optometry, and the broader profession for their ongoing collaboration in protecting the public through licensure assessment.

Important Message

NBEO is aware that some candidates have been informed by their state boards that score access is unavailable. Since March 2026, NBEO has provided all state boards with the ability to register for and access the new State Board Portal, along with multiple communications, onboarding instructions, and training resources. If your state board indicates they do not have access, we encourage them to contact NBEO directly for assistance so we can support completion of their portal setup.
