PART III PEPS Content Outline
The Part III examination consists of a total of twelve stations, including ten encounter stations presented as case scenarios, and two performance skills stations. All stations will include use of standardized patients. The content domains and clinical presentation categories are presented in the table below.
Candidates will rotate through ten encounter stations, where they will be presented with one case from each of the nine clinical categories below. One of the categories will be randomly selected and included as the tenth station. Each encounter will be evaluated on each of the five competency domains listed above. Anterior and posterior skills will be evaluated as part of the skills domain.
